there’s joy not far from here, I know there is

WOOHOOO I’ve got tickets to see Snow Patrol in Berlin next year! And I’ve got the new album Fallen Empires.

Fallen Empires

Listened to it once so far and I really like it :) And I’m sure it’s going get even better with every listen. I’ll write more on it (and Coldplay’s MX) in a few weeks :)

Called Out In The Dark EP

November 4th, 2011

Only one week now until the new Snow Patrol album Fallen Empires is out! 11/11/11, what an awesome date :D

Everything so far sounds quite promising. They released an EP in August, featuring the first single Called Out In The Dark, album title track Fallen Empires and two other songs which were written for an Irish film called My Brothers.

It took me a few listens until I liked Fallen Empires, felt a bit like it was going nowhere at first. I’m Ready and My Brothers however where love at first listen, two beautiful acoustic songs with the always-perfect Gary lyrics.

You might think you’re cursed, but what’s so much worse, is the knowledge that you are
When you’re cursed with love that is buried so deep, that you can’t dig it out of you …

Best music video ever?! =D
I don’t even care for videos that much. But the one for Called Out In The Dark
by Snow Patrol is a masterpiece :D
See for yourself I you haven’t already:

I absolutely love it. Gary seemed to have so much fun, I love the story behind it and the choreography is just awesome. I want someone to make an instruction video. Girls on youtube have done that for Lady Gaga songs, so why not for this one as well :D
At least there’s four making of videos (which are hilarious. God I love Gary Lightbody).

But as much as I enjoy this video, I can’t seem to like the one for the second single, This Isn’t Everything You Are. And that’s the great thing about music videos, if you love them, you can watch them as often as you want to, and if you don’t, then you don’t have to watch them ever again.
