Homemade Granola

Posted on Monday, October 15th, 2012 at 8:06 PM

I’ve always loved all sorts of cereal and muesli – not only for breakfast but also as a quick snack during the day. To avoid all the sugar in granola from the supermarket, I’ve finally made my own at home :)

I kept it pretty basic since I like to eat it with fresh fruit and I’m not a big fan of seeds, but I’ll definitely try a coconut and chocolate version soon!

chopped hazelnuts
chopped almonds
butter (or oil)
I’m sorry I don’t have any measures of how much you need – just take as much of each as you desire, haha!

Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl. Mix the melted butter and honey in a second bowl, then pour over the oat mixture and stir until everything is covered in it. Spread it on a baking tray and bake for 10 to 15 minutes at about 180┬░C while stirring every few minutes. When your granola is golden brown and crunchy, let it cool before storing it in an airtight container.
